Streaks
In short. Your streak is the number of days in a row on which you won at least one daily puzzle, in any game. Each game also keeps its own streak. A daily started before midnight and finished after it still counts. Missing a day ends the streak, unless a Plus streak freeze covers it. Streaks of 3, 7, 30 and 100 days unlock outfits.
What counts as a streak day?
A streak day is a day on which you won at least one daily puzzle on its own date. Levels do not count, only dailies, and one won daily in any game is enough to keep your overall streak going.
Is there a streak for each game?
Yes. Besides your overall streak, every game keeps its own streak of won dailies. The overall streak is the flame at the top of the front page; each game's streak is in its stats.
I started a daily late at night. Does it still count?
Yes. A daily you finish on its own day or the day after counts for your streak, so a puzzle started at ten to midnight is safe.
What breaks a streak?
A streak ends when a whole day passes without a won daily puzzle. Losing a daily does not break it on its own: win another daily that day, or try again if the game allows it.
What is a streak freeze?
A streak freeze saves your streak when you missed one day. Plus members get 2 freezes every calendar month. A freeze bridges the gap but does not add a day to the count.
Do archive puzzles count for my streak?
No. Old dailies played from the Plus archive earn stars but never count for streaks, so a streak always means days you really played.
Does my streak work across devices?
Yes, if you sign in. Your streak is worked out from your daily results, so when two devices sync, the streak is simply counted again from both. Without an account the streak lives in one browser. See progress and accounts.
