Stars and suns
In short. You win up to 3 stars on every puzzle, and every 100 stars make a sun. Your first 8 suns come sooner, by 150 stars. Suns buy outfits in the wardrobe and the Meadow and Dusk colours in Settings, never games or levels. Plus brings 30 suns every month, inviting friends brings more, and you can also buy suns. No game, level, outfit or colour is ever pay-only. Plus and suns just get you there sooner.
What are stars and suns?
Stars are what you win on a puzzle: up to 3 on every level and every daily, fewer if you use hints or lose hearts. Suns are made from your stars, and you spend them on outfits for the characters and on extra colours. Your suns show on the front page and in the wardrobe: tap them to see your stars and how close the next sun is.
How many stars make a sun?
Every 100 stars make a sun. On top, you get 8 starter suns early on, one at each of 3, 8, 15, 25, 35, 50, 75 and 150 stars, so your first sun comes with your first 3 stars.
Which stars count?
Your best stars on every level count, up to 3 each, and so do the stars of every daily puzzle you win, in all 9 games. Replaying a level can raise its stars but never lowers them, so your stars only ever go up. The endless modes (Fresh pond in Frogspell and Endless in Hop & Drop) and the Plus practice quilts earn no stars.
What can I buy with suns?
Outfits and colours. In the wardrobe, "For suns" shows every outfit you can buy, from 3 to 250 suns, and without Plus the 4 Plus outfits are there too. In Settings, the Meadow and Dusk colours cost 25 suns each. Suns never buy games, levels or difficulties, and hints are always free.
Can I give back something I bought with suns?
Yes. Within 14 days of buying an outfit or a colour, you can give it back and get all its suns back: in the wardrobe for an outfit, or under the colours in Settings. Each item can be given back once every 30 days.
Do Plus members get suns?
Yes. Plus brings 30 suns when it starts and 30 more every month you have it, with any kind of Plus: monthly, yearly, founder or a Plus code. If you withdraw from Plus and get your money back, the Plus suns from that time are taken back, and your suns can dip below zero until new stars fill the gap. See Plus.
Can I get suns by inviting friends?
Yes. When a friend makes an account through your invite link and plays a little, you both get 3 suns, and you can get 10 more when they first pay. See invite friends for how it works.
Do I need an account for suns?
No. Signed out, the suns from your stars are counted in this browser and you can spend them there. Sign in to keep them on every device, to get suns from Plus and invites, and to buy suns. If the same suns were spent on two devices while offline, the newest purchases go back to the shop and their suns come back.
Can I buy suns?
Yes, you can also buy suns: tap your suns to open the Suns sheet. A sun costs 10 cents, and the bigger packs add bonus suns. You need an account, and you must be 18 or older or have a parent's or guardian's yes. You can spend up to €30 a month on suns. Prices include VAT, and Stripe handles the payment.

What if an outfit is a few suns away?
You can top up just what you need, from 10 suns (€1.00), shown next to the 20-sun pack. Before you pay, the sheet says how many suns you will have left over: 3 suns short, a top-up of 10 leaves you 7. When a pack brings at least as many suns for the same money or less, you see that pack instead. Once the suns arrive, the outfit is yours.
What if I change my mind?
Within 14 days of buying suns you can withdraw and get money back for the suns you have not used. Suns you got from stars, Plus or invites count as used first. Each unused sun, bonus suns included, brings back what you paid per sun. With no other suns, if you buy 115 for €10.00 and use 40, the other 75 bring back €6.52. Use the Withdraw from contract here link at the bottom of every page and write "suns" as the contract.
Do suns expire?
No. Suns never expire and can't be swapped for money, except a withdrawal within 14 days. They wait for you until you spend them, so there is never a rush.
