In short. If you enjoy a daily puzzle habit, Daily New Game has nine free games in the same spirit. Puppy Nap is a Star Battle puzzle, the family that Queens belongs to. Sletters and Frogspell are daily word puzzles. Sudoku is classic sudoku from 4 by 4 to 9 by 9. Hide and seek suits Minesweeper fans who like finding hidden things by logic.
Is there a free game like Queens?
Yes: Puppy Nap. Both are Star Battle puzzles with the same rules: exactly one puppy in every row, every column and every coloured patch, and no two puppies touching, not even at the corners.
Puppy Nap has a new daily quilt every day and 1,000 levels. See how to play Puppy Nap.
What can I play after Wordle?
Try Sletters or Frogspell, two free daily word puzzles. Instead of guessing one hidden word, you find words on a letter board: in Sletters you clear the board with as few snakes as you can, and in Frogspell a frog hops across lily pads to spell words.
Is there a game like Strands?
Sletters is the closest: you trace words through neighbouring letters on a grid until every letter is used. It has a new board every day and 1,000 levels. See how to play Sletters.
Where can I play a free daily sudoku?
At Sudoku, with Olive the owl. It starts with gentle 4 by 4 and 6 by 6 boards and goes up to classic 9 by 9, with a new daily puzzle, free notes and 1,000 levels. Every board has exactly one solution.
Is there something like Minesweeper?
Hide and seek has the same pleasure of finding hidden things by logic. It is a Battleships puzzle: numbers beside each row and column say how many squares are hidden there, and you work out where every caterpillar and ladybug is hiding. There is never a guess.
I like Tetris-style word games. What should I try?
Hop & Drop: letters fill a burrow from the floor up, and you spell words to clear them before it fills. It is the only arcade game in the series, with a daily run and 1,000 levels.
Are there other logic puzzles like the ones in puzzle books?
Yes. Treasure island is Nurikabe, Fireflies is Light Up, also called Akari, and Giraffe skyline is a Skyscrapers puzzle. All three are classic pencil puzzles with one solution, played with taps.
Is Daily New Game connected to these games?
No. The names above belong to their owners, and Daily New Game is not connected to them. We name them only to help you find a puzzle you will enjoy.
